Sustainable Urban FUrniTURE: design of an online tool to perform environmental assessments within the green procurement framework

Objectives:

To promote green public procurement, focusing on urban furniture. The objective is to overcome the difficulties encountered by procurers when including environmental clauses in calls for tenders and assessing the offers received.

Description:

To reach this objective, an online tool, the Green Urban Furniture Tool (GUF Tool), will be developed and validated during the project. The aim of this tool is to guide public authorities during the entire tender process, thanks to a simplified environmental analysis of urban furniture products and the definition of priority environmental criteria.

The project has been co-funded by the IVACE ACTION PLAN 2017, a programme supported by the Valencian Regional Government’s Ministry of Sustainable Economy, Productive Sectors, Trade and Employment through the Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness (IVACE).
