Structure and governing bodies
The governing bodies of AIMPLAS are a key part of corporate governance because they effectively contribute to sustainable development, the achievement of statutory goals and the fulfilment of its mission.
Ethical commitment
AIMPLAS has been adhered to the United Nations Global Compact since 2017. As a signatory of the United Nations Global Compact, AIMPLAS promotes the adoption of universal principles in the areas of human rights, labour, the environment and anti-corruption.
That makes AIMPLAS an organization committed to respect for human rights, social responsibility and the fight against corruption and bribery in all its forms. In fact, it uses a series of instruments that guarantee compliance with the ethical and legal principles that govern its activity and that allow it to prevent and correct possible human rights violations within and outside the organization:
- Code of ethics
- Governance, risk and compliance (GRC) policy
- Conflict of interest policy
- Compliance manual
- Crime prevention procedure
- Ethics and compliance committee
- Whistleblower channel
Code of ethics
At AIMPLAS, we believe that ethics is a fundamental value that should guide all our actions and decisions. For this reason, we have developed our own code of ethics which sets out the values that guarantee behaviour aligned with the highest ethical standards to ensure the trust of our stakeholders: Institution, Society, Clients and People.
The code acts as a mechanism for prevention of the risks to which we are exposed and is based on sustainability and good governance. It reflects our commitment to ensuring ethical and transparent behaviour in economic, environmental, social and governance areas.
Due diligence
With the aim of going beyond legal compliance and adopting best management practices in strategic areas, AIMPLAS has included due diligence in its strategy by introducing an Integrated Managemente Policy and adopting different certified management systems based on internationally recognized standards:

Risks and opportunities
The environment in which we operate is dynamic and changing, and we have to be prepared to meet the challenges and seize the opportunities. AIMPLAS has therefore developed and implemented a Governance, Risk and Compliance Model (GRC), which includes the set of policies, processes, procedures, practices and control measures established with the aim of identifying and managing risks and events that may compromise achievement of the organization’s goals and mission.
To this end, it has developed a methodology to identify, analyse, assess and prioritize risks, and to control them and detect the opportunities they may provide.
