AGRO+
Recovery of bioplastic waste used in plasticulture using industrial composting to obtain high value-added compost
Objectives
The project will develop a pilot methodology that will allow the more efficient recovery of waste from plasticulture and plastic materials used in agricultural production and crop protection. In particular, it aims to look for an alternative to mechanical recycling for these products using new biopolymers in these applications.
Description
The AGRO+ Project focuses on both the improvement of the composting technology through the development of films with better biodegradation times and on the quality assurance of compost at the end of the composting process and in intermediate ripening phases. This information will lay the foundation for the development of a protocol, that does not yet exist, that allows the standardisation of the recovery of these kinds of films.
