New method to produce recycled PET bottles
Objectives
Increase the productivity of recycled PET bottles.
Description
PET is one of the most widely used materials in the packaging sector, being the material of choice for the majority of the bottled drinks we consume (mineral water, soft drinks, juice, etc.). This project aims to define a method that links the rheological properties of materials with their behaviour during processing.
This method will minimise the start-up times of processing recycled materials.
In this way, adjustment times and parts discarded during the manufacturing process can be minimised, thus increasing the competitiveness of the plastic recycled material industry, mainly in the packaging sector.
