Objectives
The main objective of this project is research into the modification of different commercial grades of biodegradable materials for cosmetics.
Description
This project aims to carry out research into the modification of different commercial grades of biodegradable materials from renewable and non-renewable sources to be used in extrusion blow moulding. The target was to obtain small packages (150 – 500 ml) that can be applied in packaging containers for drugstore and cosmetic products (cream, gel, shampoo, mouthwash, etc.). Research into the modification of the conventional equipment of this technology was also tackled to improve the processing of biodegradable materials. These packages must have the physical-mechanical, chemical and barrier properties required for their application in the cosmetics sector.
