New construction materials: the results of the project Osirys are already a reality

The project OSIRYS, which has concluded successfully, has already been applied in a real building. In particular, in an office building in the Estonian city of Tartu.

The project, which was aimed at improving indoor environment quality and energy efficiency by developing forest-based biocomposites and products for façades and internal partitioning has already tangible results.

The new technologies developed during the project will be applied in the construction of new buildings, as well as in improvements in existing buildings.

AIMPLAS’ role within the project OSIRYS is mainly related to the functionalization of graphene for its use with thermosetting resins and pultrusion with natural fibers and bioresins.
