The first edition of In(3D)ustry, a new international event that will discuss the present and future of advanced and additive manufacturing (3D printing), will be held from 21 to 23 June at Fira de Barcelona’s Pavilion 1.
This meeting is bringing together all the agents that form the advanced and additive manufacturing ecosystem to promote the technological improvements of these innovative systems. The first edition of In(3D)ustry will be attended by the 30 best companies of the world specialised in additive manufacturing, with the aim of interacting with 20 leading companies from different industrial sectors, such as healthcare, transport (automotive and aeronautics), retail and consumer and architecture and home, to what they are offering solutions to certain needs in a premium event only for professionals of the sector.
Therefore, in In(3D)ustry, companies from four industries are taking part. They will launch their future challenges and exhibit their cases of success to the attendees, thanks to major experts in 3D printing.
In this event, AIMPLAS is showing its capacities with regard to product development by means of additive manufacturing, which consists of design assessment, bearing in mind application requirements, advantages and FA technologies’ limitations; search and development of materials, by identifying the most adequate materials for the final applications and customised development of materials by means of physical or chemical modification; and manufacturing process, by selecting the most convenient technologies for the functionality aimed and industrial scaling assessment, as well as the development of first series and physical parts.
In this edition, AIMPLAS is making known their legislation services to the companies (standard and legislation identification for product, standard and process) and testing performance. It is also launching its next training activities, such as seminars and courses on additive manufacturing, materials, trends and applications for end users, designers, material suppliers and professional communities.
