1st face-to-face meeting of Horizon Europe Green Pharma Cluster
The annual meeting of the Group of EU Funded Projects on Green Pharmaceuticals will be held on 10 December 2024 in Brussels. ETERNAL, ENVIROMED, IMPACTIVE, SUSPHARMA and TRANSPHARM projects are part of this Green Pharma Cluster whose aim is to increase the sustainability of pharmaceutical products and exploit research synergies to boost the impact of innovations.
AIMPLAS, which coordinates the ETERNAL project, will participate in this meeting through Dr. Paz Sebastiá Luna, main researcher and coordinator of the project, and Dr. Belén Monje Martínez, expert in REACH regulation and leader of the Sustainable Chemistry department.
The European Commission organizes this meeting which will provide a unique opportunity to explore these five Horizon Europe-funded projects focused on the development of innovative green pharmaceutical manufacturing methods. It will also serve as a platform for engaging with key stakeholders from both institutional and private sectors, fostering discussions on advancing environmentally sustainable practices in the pharmaceutical industry.
It should be recalled that three working groups have been created within this cluster: sustainable production of pharmaceuticals, life cycle assessment and communication and dissemination of key messages. Each one represents an area of common interest across all the projects and an opportunity to achieve synergies.
