Development of thermosetting resins from polyester (PET) waste
Objectives
This project aims to use non-recyclable polyethylene terephthalate (PET) waste (multilayer and coloured packaging) for the development of thermosetting resins and varnishes.
Description
Given that traditional recyclers and processors are not interested in this type of waste because it is mixed with other plastic materials or because it contains colour, it is cheaper than other PET waste, making it a more competitive option for developing resins and varnishes.
