The project BIOVEGE awarded with the third prize for the Bio-based Material 2018

The project BIOVEGE, coordinated by AIMPLAS, was awarded last week with the third prize for the Bio-Based Material 2018 in the German city of Köln.

Organized by Nova Institute and sponsored by Infraserv Knapsack within the framework of the International Conference on Bio-Based Materials, this event has chosen the project BIOVEGE as one of the three best candidates for the development of new biodegradable nets for green beans by means of reactive extrusion from a combination of biopolymers and additives with the same properties as conventional polyethylene nets. 

More than 205 companies from 22 countries attended the two-day workshop, where they discussed the cutting-edge innovations in the sector of materials from renewable sources.
