AIMPLAS opens a new materials R&D building with a demonstrative event

Next 23 March, AIMPLAS will open its new materials R&D building. These facilities have a surface of more than 1,000 m2, in addition to the 8,500 m2 facilities available.

This building will have new pilot plants for the development of nanomaterials, bioplastics and materials with advanced properties, such as flame-retardant, thermo-chromic, insecticide or antibacterial, among others. Thanks to these new facilities, the technology centre will be able to meet the innovation needs of its customers in different sectors: packaging, aeronautics, automotive, construction, electrical-electronic and medicine.

The new facilities have been built taking into account the most demanding measurements to preserve the security of researchers working there, as well as to minimize the impact of its activity in the environment.

In the framework of this inauguration, AIMPLAS will offer to the attendees the possibility of requesting previously their participation in a demonstrative event of these new facilities. It is the second open day in pilot plant that AIMPLAS celebrates, since the first one took place in 2014, when experts from the main plastic transformation processes provided technical assistance to the professionals of the sector with a great success of participation. On this occasion, you will also be able to meet the technological capacities of the centre in compounding, composites, recycling, extrusion and injection with the researchers of AIMPLAS. The experts from the centre will provide customized technical assistance to people attending the event, in order to solve any doubt and talk about how AIMPLAS can contribute to boost their businesses as a technological partner.
