AIMPLAS has performed a technological foresight to select the best binders, so the properties of the final product are improved and a diversification of it is possible, too. One of the binders selected has been rice husk ash, thus being able to reuse a waste from the agro-food industry.

The Project, funded by IVACE, the Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness, through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) of the EU, has also consisted of the preparation and characterization of mixtures at laboratory scale to validate their properties and the collaboration in their use in building works to validate their use on the rural environment.
