Polymer synthesis and Chemical Technologies

In our Chemical Technology department, we focus on obtaining innovative polymeric materials and nanoparticles with advanced properties that have technological applications in the industry.

Some of the most relevant sectors in which these new polymers can be used are the medical industry (materials with new functionalities, biocompatible materials, etc.), and the petrochemical, aeronautical, aerospace, wind and energy sectors.

To obtain new polymers, we first design the synthesis and polymerisation process. We then work on scaling up the reaction and the subsequent purification stages, thus covering the entire process from start to finish.

  • Processability of plastic materials. Detection and assistance with processing problems caused by degradation and/or the modification of raw materials.
