3D printing materials & filaments

Materials for fused deposition modelling are based mostly on virgin polymers like PLA (Polylactic Acid) and ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene). These polymers are perfect for prototype production but their properties may be insufficient for final product development. Polymers can be modified with different fillers to meet the final application requirements and functionalities.

Our solutions

To improve material properties, AIMPLAS has developed filaments for Fused Deposition Modelling with advanced properties, such as:

  • Electrical conductivity for electronic applications: circuits, sensors…
  • Flexible filaments.
  • Wood finishing.
  • Structural material (PVOH) filaments for bicomponent printing.
  • Filaments for the medical sector with improved biocompatibility (hydroxyapatite as a filler).
  • Optimised mechanical properties.
