The rise of renewable energies is associated with that of energy storage. Plastics have played, are playing and will play an important role in the deployment of these energy storage devices. The promotion of new storage technologies and the optimization of traditional ones is boosted by the development of new materials. Polymers and plastics with advanced properties are part of the future (and current) components of these energy storage devices.

Through this conference, developments in plastic materials for different approaches in energy storage applications will be presented by key partners along Europe. As a complementary session, the first workshop of the BALIHT European project will be presented for free.
