TÜV Austria is an internationally recognized independent certification body in the bioplastics market.
TÜV AUSTRIA, the independent certification body in the bioplastics market, has recognized the AIMPLAS Laboratory, which will enable companies to obtain the OK Compost INDUSTRIAL, OK Compost HOME, OK BIODEGRADABLE SOIL and SEEDLING labels for their tests.
The environmental product verification marks of TÜV AUSTRIA (formerly Vinçotte) offer a customized certification label for each biodegradation environment. They are widely recognized at international level by final consumers, who appreciate their clarity and know that all products bearing these labels are certified.
TÜV-AUSTRIA labels
- Packaging and products with the OK Compost INDUSTRIAL label guarantee that all their components, inks and additives are biodegradable in an industrial composting plant.
- OK Compost HOME certification ensures biodegradability in home compost at a lower temperature than industrial composting.
- OK Biodegradable SOIL label guarantees that a product is biodegradable in the soil.
- The Seedling logo, authorized by European Bioplastics, identifies products complying with EN 13432 as compostable.
Obtaining these labels includes ecotoxicity tests to evaluate the quality of compost and ensures that there are no adverse effects on the environment.
