RESIPET

Development of thermosetting resins from polyester (PET) wastes

Objectives:

This project aims at using non-recyclable polyethylene terephthalate (PET) wastes (multilayer and coloured packages) for the development of thermosetting resins and varnishes.

Description:

Since they are wastes without interest on the part of traditional recyclers and processors, either because they are mixed with other plastic materials or because they have a warm colouring, its cost is not so high as other PET wastes’ one, so its use for developing resins and varnishes is economically more competitive.
