PHARMAPACKSAFE

Objectives:

The objective was to develop plastic packaging to contain eye drops ensuring it was stable and inert and not marketed by pharmaceutical companies, thus providing a solution to a current problem in hospital pharmacies.

Description:

Thanks to the project, formulations can be used for longer than before and fewer preparations have to be made, resulting in fewer patient visits to the hospital pharmacy.

This project has provided a less contaminating solution, which is easier to dispense, store and weigh as well as having an increased shelf life.
