CE Marking

CE marking is a key indicator to demonstrate that a product conforms to EU legislation. Manufacturers, importers and distributors, when adding the CE mark to a product, state, under their own responsibility, that it complies with all the legal requirements demanded by Regulation (EU) No. 305/2011. Thus, they ensure it can be sold within the European Economic Area (EEA)..

AIMPLAS, a notified body

Notified bodies guarantee impartiality, confidentiality and independence and they have the necessary competence to certify the conformity of a product according to the established standards.

CE marking of plastic and septic tanks

AIMPLAS is a notified body approved by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism (No. 1842) to perform the following activities:

  • Conformity assessment for CE marking of static thermoplastic tanks for above ground storage of domestic heating oils, kerosene and diesel fuels according to EN 13341.
  • Conformity assessment for CE marking of small wastewater treatment systems for up to 50 PT: prefabricated septic tanks and domestic wastewater treatment plants according to EN 12566-1 and EN 12556-3.

AIMPLAS is the only notified body in Spain for this kind of products.

CE marking of other construction products

AIMPLAS also performs CE marking tests on other construction products, such as bathroom items (baths, washbasins, shower trays and bidets), oily water separators and waterproofing sheets.

We advise companies on harmonized standards applicable to products, the requirements of the conformity assessment system, reports for the required tests, the content required in the technical documentation, labelling, and declarations of performance.
