Circular economy in the plastics industry

The plastics industry is playing a key role in the new circular economy model. The plastics sector has embraced this model as an opportunity to use ecodesign to market more sustainable products, and to improve management systems and recycling processes to recover waste for reuse as a raw material. Moreover, plastic materials are allies in the fight against climate change because they can reduce more CO₂ emissions than other materials.
