AIMPLAS has been recognised as a Great Place to Work by the Human Resources consulting firm Great Place to Work. It is the first Spanish technology centre to achieve this certification, which a total of 328 companies have already obtained.
Following a diagnosis through a survey of the 165 employees working in the Centre, the consulting firm has assured that AIMPLAS has an “optimal workplace”. The results of the survey highlight that employees value opportunities for professional development and training; the self-management of working hours and work-life balance, as well as the working environment.
Particularly, nine out of ten people surveyed value the autonomy and responsibility they have in the organization and 78% of employees highlighted the trust they receive from their superiors. They also value access to resources and equipment, as well as the good working environment and the human quality of the rest of the staff.
According to José Antonio Costa, AIMPLAS’ Managing Director, “this recognition has been obtained thanks to the effort of all the people who form AIMPLAS. Precisely, one of the most valued aspects has been the human factor, which is especially valuable to us and encourages us to continue working”.
AIMPLAS is currently developing a programme to promote health and wellbeing in the workplace focused on four areas: physical, health and psychosocial care and contribution to the community. For that purpose, actions focused on promoting a healthy diet, doing sports, as well as workshops and talks have been taken throughout the year. Besides, there is a career plan to encourage professional development and several measures to have a work-life balance are applied. Volunteer and social actions have been also carried out, as well as activities whose aim is to raise funds for social entities.
