AIMPLAS Chair

Company chairs are a way to establish a solid link between companies, foundations and other organizations that have business ties with universities in order to develop teaching objectives, technology and knowledge transfer, and research.

AIMPLAS promoted the creation of the AIMPLAS-UPV Chair in April 2010 in conjunction with the Materials Technology Institute (ITM) at the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia. The Chair is based in the School of Industrial Engineering (ETSII) and is directed by Mª Dolores Salvador Moya, a professor at the UPV and a researcher at the ITM.

Our objectives

One of the Chair’s main objectives is to promote student training. Therefore, it offers four annual scholarships for the Master’s degree in Polymeric Materials and Composites, enabling students to fund 50% of their enrolment fee for this degree.

In addition, the students who complete the Master’s degree are included in AIMPLAS’ job bank, which gives them visibility when trying to gain employment in plastic-related companies.

AIMPLAS offers the most comprehensive range of training options for the plastics industry.
